Welcome to August!
We’ve had some hot weather this summer, but keep your mind on Jesus…because Jesus is cool!
Some of you with young children are getting geared up for the start of school. We want the best for our children, and that means starting with a good education. God wants what’s best for us, too…and that also means a good education. Our Sunday School, Bible Study and Sunday service are all designed with that in mind. You’re never too old to learn about God’s redeeming love for all of us!

Mon., Aug. 5 @ 8am- Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Tues., Aug. 13, from 5pm-6:30pm: Soup Night
Sun., Aug. 18- We’ll be walking across the street to join our brothers and sisters at the Jericho Faith Deliverance church for worship.

Aug. 4- “Bible Series, New Testament: The Gospel of Luke” (we will learn about the man and the gospel he wrote before delving into the chapters)
Aug. 11- “Bible Series, New Testament: Luke, Chapter 1”
Aug. 18- (@ the Jericho Faith Deliverance Church- Pastor Ken will provide the sermon)- “Be Strong, Be Courageous”
Aug. 25- “You Are the Salt of the Earth”

Wow! The end of this month will bring us halfway through 2024. Some people will say the year is flying by, while others will say it seems like it’s dragging along!
This month, we celebrate Father’s Day, but let’s remember especially the best Dad of all, our Father in Heaven!

It looks like the weather is starting to warm up…we’ve had some beautiful days in the past week, and I’ve even been able to open up my outdoor office on our back porch!
Psalm 118:24 tells us, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Really, no matter what the weather…no matter what time of year…we can find something good in every day. Each day is a gift from God!

This Sunday, Apr. 30, we welcome Stefanie Johnson, the director of His Hope Ministries, which operates the homeless shelter in Caroline County. She will share some insights on the shelter and it’s operations. Please join us!
